Doctrinal Statements

We accept the King James Version of the Holy Bible as our divine authority in all matters pertaining to faith and practice.  We accept the attached doctrinal statements as our declaration of faith.

  1. The Trinity of God. (Matt. 28:19; 1 Cor. 12:4-6; 1 John 5:7)
  2. The infallible and plenary verbal inspiration of the Scriptures. (Psalms 119:160; 2 Tim. 3:16)
  3. The Biblical account of creation.  (Gen. 1 & 2)
  4. The personality of Satan. (Isaiah 14:12-15; Matt. 25:41; Rev. 20:10)
  5. Hereditary and total depravity of man in his natural state involving his fall in Adam. (Gen. 3; Romans 5:12, 19)
  6. The virgin birth and deity of Jesus Christ. (Matt. 1:18-20; John 1:1, 14; John 10:30)
  7. Christ’s blood atonement for fallen man. (Heb. 2:9; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 Peter 3:18; 1 John 2:2)
  8. His bodily resurrection and ascension back to earth. (Matt. 28:1-7; Acts 1:9-11)
  9. The person and work of the Holy Spirit. (Luke 24:49; John 14:16-17; Acts 1:4-5, 8)
  10. Justification before God by faith without any admixture of faith. (John 3:15-18; Romans 3:22-26)
  11. Separation of God’s children from the world. (2 Cor. 6:17)
  12. Water baptism (immersion) to be administered to baptized believers only and by divine authority as given to the church. (Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 8:12, 38; Romans 6:4)
  13. The Lord’s Supper, a church ordinance, to be administered to baptized believers only and in Scriptural church capacity. (1 Cor. 11)
  14. Eternal security of the believer. (John 10:27-30; Romans 8:35-39)
  15. The establishment of a visible church by Christ Himself during His personal ministry on earth. (Matt. 16:18; Acts 2:47)
  16. World wide mission according to the Great Commission which Christ gave His church. (Matt. 28:19-20)
  17. The perpetuity of Missionary Baptist from churches, from Christ’s day on earth until His second coming. (Matt. 16:18; Eph. 3:21)
  18. The separation of the Lord’s Church from all so-called churches or church alliances which advocate, practice or uphold heresies and other human innovations which are not in harmony with the Word of God.  Open communion, alien baptism, pulpit affiliation which heretical churches, modernism and all kindred evils arising from these practices, are unscriptural. (Deut. 4:2; Gal. 1:8-9; Rev. 22:18-19)
  19. The only valid baptism is that administered by the authority of a scriptural church.  Any so-called baptist church which knowingly receives alien baptism, habitually practices this or other evils as those listed in statement 18 cannot be a scriptural Baptist church.  Nor, can it’s ordinances remain valid. (Eph. 4:5)
  20. The personal, bodily and imminent return of Christ to earth. (Acts 1:9-11)
  21. The bodily resurrection of the dead. (1 Thess. 4:13-16; 1 Cor. 15:13)
  22. The reality of heaven, involving Divine assurance of eternal happiness for the redeemed God. (Matt. 5:12;  Matt. 6:20)
  23. The reality of Hell, involving everlasting punishment of the incorrigible wicked. (Matt. 25:46; Luke 16:23)
  24. The absolute separation of Church and State. (Romans 13:1-7; 1 Peter 2:13-15)
  25. We believe in the premillennial return of Christ to earth, after which He shall literally reign in peace upon the earth for a thousand years. (Rev. 20:4-6)
  26. We believe the Scriptures to teach two resurrections; the first of the righteous at Christ’s coming; the second of the wicked dead at the close of the thousand year reign. (1 Thess. 4:13-17; Rev. 20:4-6, 12-15)
